Despite the title suggestion, ultimately you will want to cheer for the St. Louis talent extraordinaire, as he’s created a sweet blend of musical styles—everything from reggae to blues to hip hop. Nite Owl uniquely performs hip-hop music alongside a live band, which makes his shows something exciting and new. Kind Fire was started in May 2009 when guitarist Tyler Menos and vocalist Shawn Telkamp met to work on a new project together. Tyler and Shawn found an immediate chemistry in their writing styles and both wanted to find a place within the creative process where they could draw from varying influences. Soon they were joined by bassist David Koslovsky and drummer Adam Sharp, and "the fire" got started. Kind Fire continues to evolve and change with every new melody and lyric based on their love of music and hearing the voices of a generation unheard. "We just want to tip our hats in appreciation of what has come before while creating songs that have clear character and tone...but mostly, we just want to feel good and enjoy what each of us brings to the music and to one another."
